Habbo Hotel Overview
Adopting a hotel theme, Habbo Hotel is a virtual world for teens (ages 13 and up), created by Sulake Labs, a Finnish company. Habbo is an international world, with several other versions of the Hotel for more than 15 countries, including Japan, the UK, Italy, Finland, Switzerland, Sweden, among others.
Access to Habbo Hotel is free, but Habbo credits (the in-game virtual currency) must be used to purchase furniture, other decorations, pets, and various other accessories. One can purchase Habbo credits with US or Canadian dollars, Euros, among several other kinds of real life currency.
There is a “lobby” gateway and several “guest rooms,” which are private. Habbo residents play and compete in games, join the Habbo VIP Club, and hang out in various other ways.
